The Civivi M2 Backup C2016 is a cool fixed knife, designed by Alex Weese. He designed it as a backup knife. A knife you carry alongside a different or larger knife. Or as a knife for your bugout bag. We, however, feel it can be used for many more. Think of camping or hunting trips, or while working in and around the house. The M2 Backup can do it all.

The name Alex Weese might not ring a bell. You might, however, be familiar with his father: Bob Terzuola. A legendary knife maker. When you look at the shape of the blade you can find some similarities between father and son.

D2 steel blade

The blade is made from D2 steel. This is a tough type of steel that retains it sharpness well. You can easily sharpen it yourself which is great if you use it on a daily basis. Do, however, be careful with rust: D2 is not completely stainless. So clean the knife after use, especially when (fruit)acids, salt or moisture came into contact with the knife.

G10 handle

The handle is comprised of steel liners with G10 scales. A strong and lightweight material made from fibre glass and synthetic resin. The light texture feels great in hand and offers you enough grip. The way the scales are secured to the handle without visible pins is amazing. It makes the whole look sleek.

The Civivi M2 Backup comes with a sleek Kydex sheath, with a belt clip. This knife is a total piece of art!
